Learn how to prepare an original Austrian apple strudel. During this class, you will be guided by our experienced chef. You will be asked to fully partake in all the stages of preparation. Activities such as marinating the apples and stretching out the pastry can be a lot of fun.   In addition to the apple strudel program, participants get the chance to try their hands at one of the most famous and spectacular desserts in Salzburg- the Salzburger Nockerl. The airy and light soufflé mirrors Salzburg’s baroque atmosphere, whose essence is captured in a baked good that can’t be separated from the city’s origin. The program also includes a traditional goulash soup for lunch which will be served before you get your own baked creations (vegetarian/vegan lunch option also available).

Enjoy a fun cooking class that’s entirely dedicated to Austrian food and music. You won’t have to worry about buying anything in advance, as all ingredients and utensils are provided. Learn step-by-step how to make Salzburger pretzels and apple strudel . Afterward, relax and enjoy the food you’ve prepared alongside with a bowl of goulash while you listen to a live musical concert from our soprano with classics from Mozart and the Sound of Music.

christmas program - Apple Strudel, Cookies & lunch

Learn how to prepare an original Austrian apple strudel. During this class, you will be guided by your experienced chef. Each class will have a maximum of 15 people, and be broken down further into tables of 3 to 5 people. You will be asked to fully partake in all the stages of preparation. Activities such as marinating the apples and stretching out the pastry can be a lot of fun. While the apple strudel is baking in the oven, you will prepare the most popular cookies at Christmastime in Austria - Vanilla Kipferl and you get served a hot goulash soup for lunch. At the end of your lesson the whole room is fulfilled with Christmas fragrance and the whole experience of baking is guaranteed to be as rewarding as enjoying the final outcome itself

Dinner Class - Prezels, Dumplings & Apple Strudel incl. music

The dinner cooking class is entirely dedicated to Austrian cuisine and music. Every participant will shape their own traditional Salzburg pretzel which will later be served as their appetizer. For the main course we will cook a traditional farmer’s dish - Austrian speck dumplings (for vegetarians we do cheese dumplings.) For dessert, roll up your sleeves to create the most popular Austrian dessert - the apple strudel. To make sure you have both a traditional and an unforgettable Austrian dining experience, you will be treated to timeless musical classics from Mozart, the Sound of Music, and more from our soprano.
